Company History

Myrna Pérez started teaching Spanish at the Hopkins Community Education, Adult programs, in Minnesota in 1998. In 1999 her first book, Fundamental Spanish Workbook 1, is published and introduced at the Hopkins Community Education with great success. In some classes the drop out percentage was reduced from forty to just five percent!

Soon, Spanishbooster was founded. The original website was built in 2000 and since then it has provided information regarding the Spanish language as well as the cultural aspects of the Latin American culture. Today, Spanishbooster.com has more than 2,500 daily visits from more than 70 countries.

Continuing with its mission, the Fundamental Spanish Workbook 2 was soon published, as well as the Teacher’s Guides for both books. They are introduced at the Hennepin Technical Community Center in Minnesota with great success. At the same time, Spanishbooster diversifies its business strategy providing not only Spanish classes and teacher training, but also translations and proofreading services.

In 2003, after moving from Minneapolis to Cincinnati, the diversification efforts continued, and voice-over and video are added to the list of services provided. On the other hand, the company publishes the Verb Conjugations Workbook. In this virtuous circle, Spanishbooster becomes a frequent collaborator in the weekly newspaper “La Jornada Latina”, “Noticiero Latino USA ” and “Midwestlatino.com”

Today, Spanishbooster continues to improve its products and services based on strong ethical principles and a full understanding and commitment with our customers and their needs.

Myrna Perez.
CEO and Founder.
Several years of experience in adult teaching, and a degree in communications and TV and video production made Myrna realized that people needs to be informed and to learn and communicate with confidence in a foreign language (Myrna speaks Spanish, English, French, Japanese and currently is learning Chinese).

Her passion for learning and teaching resulted in the formation of this web site.
Benjamin Perez.
Business Manager. 
Benjamin is a Mechanical-Electrical Engineer with an MBA degree. Several years of experience in international business and the knowledge and love for the Latin culture motivated him to join the creation of a web site that would give people the resources to face international communication challenges in a better way.
