Cultural Awareness Course for Doing Business
Register for our July 13th 2013 course now!
With Hispanics playing an increasingly important
role un the business world - as employees, directors or customers,
it is essential to understand the way they think. Every day
corporations are losing business and money because of poor
communication and lack of understanding.
Business operations around the world have become
highly standardized, but traditions, attitudes and beliefs remain
diverse. Filtered through your particular se of habits and
assumptions, those variables get your interpretation. Your
perception may affect directly your guts feelings, compromise your
objectivity, and ultimately... your business.
By understanding your own cultural background and
your own world view, you can begin to appreciate and associate
entirely different perspectives, and understand the different
approaches that Hispanics take to the same situation. To define who
is right and who is wrong is not the purpose of our Cultural
Awareness Course for Doing Business. The purpose of this course
is to give you essential insight into this critical market and its
people. You will learn how Americans and Hispanics think, perceive
themselves and perceive each other. You will get the basic tools to
be considered part of them and make your relationship and business
more successful.
What our
customers say about our Cultural training.
"The Mexican Culture and Business
Communication training was excellent and I gained so much
knowledge and understanding of the Mexican and Spanish culture.
The classes were informative, interactive,
interesting and fun
and you make a great team. I have already begun using some of
the tools that I learned as I work with my new International
Inside Sales team and General Cable locations in Mexico and
Spain. I am confident that I will be even more successful now in
my business transactions"

“Spanish Booster designed and delivered a
presentation called "Doing Business in Latin America" for one of
our clients in Northern Kentucky. The presentation was for
approximately 25 people in the company who were newly-assigned
to business projects involving business in Mexico and several
other Latin American countries. They gave an OUTSTANDING
presentation. The audience members learned a great deal about
how to build rapport and trust with their Latin American
counterparts, along with a number of cultural "dos and don'ts."
I would highly recommend them for any training or coaching
related to doing business in Latin America. Spanish Booster can
help you and your employees gain a much better understanding of
communication preferences, business protocol and etiquette, and
a number of other "must haves" in terms of cultural learning. In
addition to being an intercultural trainer, they also designs
and delivers courses for people who want to learn Spanish; some
of these are specific to business people. Too many Americans
attempt to forge business relationships in other countries and
don't take the time to learn how to do it correctly; this wastes
time and money, and can kill an important business deal. Do
yourself and your organization a favor: If you are doing
business in Latin America and haven't figured out the
communication and etiquette pieces yet, get in touch with Myrna
and her team and save yourself time, money, and potential
embarrassment.”

"Myrna developed a Survival Spanish class
for our administrative assistants, those frontline people who
are often the first ones to meet with families in our school
district. She met with our staff to determine needs and then
devised the course around those expectations. She helped our
staff not only acquire some basic language skills, but also
enlightened them on cultural and family characteristics that
would assist in interactions with Spanish speaking families."
